MINI has introduced the Aceman, a fresh compact SUV that comes with electric powertrains only. This vehicle shows the forward-thinking approach MINI have when it comes to the future of driving in cars, and what the next-generation of drivers might look for in a new car
The Aceman is set to become part of MINI's latest range, positioned between the MINI Hatch and the Countryman.
The three models exhibit a distinct family resemblance, showcasing a unified design language.
Design and Features
The all-new MINI Aceman's dimensions are comparable with the Volkswagen ID2, as it measures 4,070 mm in length, 1,754 mm in width, and 1,514 mm in height.
Furthermore, on the inside of the vehicle, the Aceman features a streamlined design focused on a spacious infotainment screen driven by Mini Operating System 9.0.
The dashboard of the car has a sleek curvature and is adorned with a two-tone design made from recycled polyester textile material. This material extends seamlessly into the door trims, creating a cohesive and stylish look.
The back of the vehicle provides ample room for three passengers, and there is also a spacious 300-litre boot for storing belongings. When needed, the rear seats can be folded flat in a 60:40 ratio, allowing the luggage compartment to be expanded up to an impressive 1,005 litres.
The new MINI Aceman offers customers a range of options to suit their preferences. With two output levels, E and SE, and three trims to choose from - Classic, Exclusive, and Sport - there is a MINI Aceman for every driver. Starting at £31,800, this stylish vehicle will be available for first customer deliveries in November 2024.
The MINI Aceman E comes with a 42.5kWh battery, providing a range of up to 192 miles (WLTP). Its electric motor, with a power output of 184PS, enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62mph in just under 8 seconds.
On the other hand, the Aceman SE, which starts at £36,300, boasts a more powerful 218PS motor and an extended range of 252 miles. This is made possible by its larger 54.2kWh battery. The Aceman SE can achieve a quicker 0-62mph sprint in just over 7 seconds.
The AC charger allows for charging at a maximum rate of 11kW. The Aceman E model offers DC charging at 75kW, while the Aceman SE model can handle up to 95kW. This enables the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
By utilising Mini Navigation, the vehicle will proactively optimise the high-voltage battery's temperature for efficient charging, resulting in reduced charging time.
The new MINI coming to the market has the equipment divided into three different packages Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, by each level the price changes.
Each package represents a progression, offering additional features on top of those provided in the previous level. Customers who purchase the MINI Aceman SE will receive Level 1 as a standard feature.
For the first level, the car includes heated front seats, wireless charging a cool head-up display and Comfort Access. Moving to the next level, this variant includes a brilliant surround sound system, a beautiful glass sky roof and sun protection glass
Now, to level 3, this encompasses an interior camera, Parking Assistant Plus, Driving Assistant Plus, MINI Navigation AR, personal eSIM and luxurious electric front seats with memory and massage functionality which exudes comfort whilst enduring your driving experience.
