Range Rover Sport Overview
The Ranger Rover Sport was originally launched back in 2005 and since then almost 1 million cars have come off the production line. The all-new 2023 Range Rover Sport is currently available to pre-order with deliveries expected early next year. This new Range Rover Sport is an astonishing feat of engineering with an 81% aluminium platform adding both fuel efficiency and energy absorption in collisions. This new platform also helps to add a 35% increase in torsional rigidity. This helps engineers improve the ride quality as suspension movement is more predictable and therefore easier to dial in.
In the future, this platform will support all-electric configurations with six electric models in the pipeline coming as early as 2024. For now, the P530 model or SVR will include a 523hp V8 whilst clocking 60mph in an impressive 4.3 seconds. The range also includes the P360 SE with a strong 3.0-litre turbocharged mild hybrid and the P440e Autobiography a plug-in hybrid. This version will include an estimated 54-mile electric range and a 31.8kWh battery pack. All models sport an 8-speed automatic gearbox that feeds the all-wheel-drive setup, paired with Land Rover's updated Terrain Response assist feature for altering road surfaces.
Range Rover Sport Interior
Here at DreamLease, we feel that the biggest advancement with the new model is with the stunning interior. The cabin practically cocoons you with a driving position that instils both confidence and control. The interior is of course sophisticated with elegant yet modern, tactile materials. The dashboard is dominated by a slick 13.1 inch Touch Screen, the largest ever installed with all models supplied with the 3D Surround Cameras, and front and rear parking sensors. Wade Sensing, ClearSight Ground View7 and Manoeuvring Lights.
Our Favoured Spec
Here at DreamLease, the sound of a revving 523hp V8 fills us with anticipation and pure excitement, however, the thought of a Plug-in Hybrid Range Rover Sport inspires us. The P510e joins both a six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with a 105kW electric motor. The battery pack will consist of a respectable 31.8kWh battery giving the car an estimated real-world range of up to 54 miles. With a 50kW rapid charger, it will charge from 0 to 80 per cent in less than an hour, while a domestic 7.2kW AC wall box will produce a full charge in five hours. The vehicle will also automatically learn routes and optimise the use of electric energy to increase efficiency. All in all the P510e will deliver 60mph in 5.2 seconds and allow you to enter the ULEZ zone in refined comfort with no worry of running out of energy on those long drives.
