Toyota’s Urban Cruiser represents a significant step forward in the brand’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) range. With its compact dimensions and powerful presence, the Urban Cruiser is designed to compete in one of the fastest-growing automotive segments.
The vehicle’s exterior design is a statement in urban sophistication, featuring Toyota’s new “hammerhead” front styling and slim headlight units. The bold rear quarters and wrap-around light bar give it a robust, SUV-like stance, ensuring it stands out on city streets.
Spacious and Flexible Interior
Toyota has engineered the Urban Cruiser to provide a surprisingly spacious cabin, thanks to a long 2,700mm wheelbase and a clever sliding rear seat arrangement. Rear legroom rivals that of larger D-segment models, making it an excellent option for families and urban explorers alike.
The cabin design offers an elevated seating position for enhanced visibility, while a sleek horizontal instrument panel adds to the contemporary feel. Drivers can personalise the cabin ambiance with a lighting system offering 12 different colour settings.

Built on a new lightweight platform dedicated to BEVs, the Urban Cruiser avoids traditional design constraints by eliminating crossmembers in the floor, optimising both battery and cabin space.
Customers will have two battery pack options:
A 49-kWh battery delivering 106kW (142bhp) with front-wheel drive.
A 61-kWh battery available in both front-wheel drive (128kW/172bhp) and all-wheel drive (135kW/182bhp) configurations.
The all-wheel drive version adds an extra 48kW motor on the rear axle, along with Downhill Assist Control and dedicated Trail and Snow modes for enhanced handling in challenging conditions.

Safety and Cutting-Edge Tech
Safety is a top priority with the Urban Cruiser, which comes equipped with Toyota’s advanced driver assistance systems as standard. These include pre-collision alerts, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warnings with lane-keeping assist.
Inside, drivers will enjoy a fully digital user interface, featuring a 10.25-inch driver’s display and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen. Seamless smartphone integration is available via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
