The Type of Personal Information We Collect

How We Use The Personal Information

  • Carry out anti-fraud and anti-money laundering checks and verify your identity;
  • Assess financial risks including by carrying out credit reference checks and credit scoring assessments;
  • Broker your finance agreement and any related services;
  • Arrange delivery of your vehicles;
  • Provide assistance before, during and after the term of your finance agreement and send you information about your vehicle or finance agreement, your end-of-contract obligations and how to renew your vehicle hire agreement;
  • Send you marketing communications about our products and services that may be of interest to you;
  • Process payments or refunds relating to our services;
  • Administer debt recoveries, where you owe us money under a contract or otherwise;
  • Undertake market research and statistical analysis, including analysing your use of our website. This allows us to develop new, or improve existing, products and services;

How We Share The Personal Information

We work closely with partners and third-party suppliers who fulfil business activities for us. In these situations, we will only share the information that is necessary for the partner or third party to perform the processing activity it was provided for, such as;

Finance Application

Information relates to the information you have given us, which we pass on to our finance partners, or which they receive from their own enquiries and searches at the credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. This applies to all applicants, including directors and partners if the application is made by a limited company, partnership or an incorporated association.

Our finance partner will check your details with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies, and these agencies will record the check. They will provide the agencies with your current and previous names, address and dates of birth of all parties, so if you are providing information about others, on a joint application, you must be sure that you have their agreement. The agencies will provide them with public information about you and any third party financially linked to you. Information such as county court judgements (CCJ's) and bankruptcies, electoral register and fraud prevention information on you and your financial associates, current and previous names, addresses and dates of birth. If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information.


Marketing

We may use your personal information to send you information about our products and services that may be of interest to you. We will only do this either where you have provided consent or where we have a legitimate interest.
