Kia Niro Benefits

Leasing a Kia Niro has many great benefits over a traditional purchase. Here at DreamLease, you can start driving a Kia Niro without a large financial outlay attached to a traditional purchase. Guaranteed fixed monthly payments for the entire lease make a Kia Lease easy to budget and the Kia Niro is also ULEZ compliant and congestion charge exempt making driving in and around the city centre cheaper and hassle-free. The all-electric Kia Niro is environmentally friendly with no co2 emissions helping your local communities' air quality and the wider environment.

Electric Technology of the Kia Niro

The Kia Niro is available in both hybrid and fully electric versions. The hybrid version combines a petrol engine with an electric motor and battery, while the fully electric version runs solely on electricity.

The hybrid version of the Niro uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine and a 43-horsepower electric motor. Together, they produce 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The battery is a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion unit that can be charged through regenerative braking. The hybrid Niro can travel up to 52 miles per gallon in the city and 49 miles per gallon on the motorway.

The fully electric version of the Niro, called the Niro EV, uses a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 201 horsepower electric motor. The battery provides a range of up to 239 miles on a single charge. The Niro EV can be charged using a Level 2 charger, which can charge the battery to 80% in under an hour, or a Level 3 charger, which can charge the battery to 80% in under an hour. Both the hybrid and fully electric versions of the Niro come with a variety of features that help to maximize fuel efficiency and electric range. These include EcoDynamics+ which adjusts the car's systems to maximize efficiency, Predictive Energy Control which uses GPS data to predict the car's energy usage and make adjustments accordingly, and a Driver Only Air conditioning mode which only cools the driver seat.
