History of BYD

The history of BYD (Build Your Dreams) traces back to its humble beginnings in 1995 when it was founded by entrepreneur Wang Chuanfu in Shenzhen, China. Initially a manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, BYD quickly expanded its operations into other areas, including consumer electronics and automobiles. In 2003, BYD entered the automotive industry, producing its first gasoline-powered vehicle. However, it wasn't until 2008 that BYD gained international attention with the launch of its F3DM, the world's first mass-produced plug-in hybrid car. This marked a significant milestone in BYD's journey toward becoming a leading force in electric vehicles. Over the years, BYD has continued to innovate, introducing a range of electric cars, buses, and trucks, while also expanding into renewable energy solutions such as solar panels and energy storage systems. Today, BYD stands as a symbol of Chinese technological prowess and a driving force behind the global transition to sustainable transportation and energy.
